ARTISTIC CONCEPT:
"Squaring the Self" addresses one of humanity's most ancient sacred symbols: the integration of the divine within the human condition. The artwork features an organic stoneware plate pierced at its center by a perfect circle, embodying the ineffable, the infinite, and cosmic purity. This sacred circle is inscribed within a quadrangular outer boundary representing human nature and the earthly physical plane. Defined by four peripheral incisions referencing the cardinal points and the unity of manifest space-time, the piece acts as a geometric matrix. Grounded in Gurdjieff's Fourth Way cosmology, the relief operates as a psychic catalyst designed to capture and manifest the vibrational echo of the ray of creation descending from the Absolute Sun.
